Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files a website can place in your browser. Websites can also use local storage and session storage to keep limited information on your device. We explain all three here so the distinction is clear.

Some storage is necessary for a feature a visitor chooses to use. Other technologies, such as non-essential advertising or some analytics tools, normally require a visitor’s consent before they are used.

What this website currently uses

The current website uses limited browser storage for the AI assistant and cookie-free website analytics. It does not use advertising cookies or create visitor accounts.

Chat memory — local storage
Stores up to 24 recent messages on your device for up to seven days, so the assistant can continue the conversation.
Context prompt — session storage
Records whether a contextual suggestion has been shown or dismissed, preventing repeated prompts during the browser session.
Vercel Web Analytics
Collects aggregated page-view information without cookies. Vercel uses a daily-changing hash and says it does not track a visitor across different days or websites.
Security controls
Temporary server-side request information may be used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. This is not stored as a browser cookie.

Why we use them

  • To preserve a recent AI assistant conversation when you choose to use that feature.
  • To avoid showing the same contextual assistant prompt repeatedly in one session.
  • To understand aggregated website use and improve navigation, content and performance.
  • To keep interactive services stable and protect them from misuse.

Your choices

Use the AI assistant’s clear-conversation control to remove its saved conversation from your browser. You can also clear site data in your browser settings or block browser storage, although the assistant may no longer remember recent messages.

The analytics currently in use does not place cookies. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising cookies or similar technology in future, we will update this page and provide an appropriate consent choice before it runs.

Changes to this policy

We review this page when the website or its service providers change. The current update date appears above so you can see when the information was last checked.
